e-Kimono Rental

e-Kimono Rental is a website offering online kimono rentals such as furisode (long-sleeved kimono) and graduation hakama.

The online rental business had a storefront on Rakuten, but we consulted with them on a website renewal to strengthen orders on their own site.

For this renewal, we created the site with an emphasis on ease of search, as we decided to increase the number of product categories handled while incorporating a design preferred by our main target, women in their 20s who wear furisode (long-sleeved kimono) and graduation hakama.

The challenges in building the e-commerce site were the fact that the products were rental items, not for sale, and the fact that there were many items required for ordering, such as sizes and accessories, and that each item had to be set differently for each product.

We identified the product categories and listed the items in each category while building the necessary functions in EC-CUBE, which is highly versatile and can be developed independently.

Since the number of simultaneous accesses exceeds 20,000 at the time of the event, the acceptance configuration is designed to withstand it.

In order to attract more customers, we also implemented SEO measures for each kimono category, as well as web advertising for each season.

After the renewal, both the number of accesses and monthly sales have increased tenfold, thanks in part to the effects of web advertising operations. We are now able to operate an online store that continuously generates sales.

As for SEO, although rankings fluctuate depending on the time of year, we were able to achieve first place for keywords such as “Hakama rental” and “Shichigosan rental.
