Context & Challenges
In preparation for the establishment of a new factory with plans to recruit an additional 200 employees by May 2026, the client contacted us for advice on building a corporate website and a recruitment website.
However, Sumitomo Metal Mining Corporation is not yet widely known in Vietnam. Therefore, the biggest challenge of the project was building a website that could inspire confidence in potential candidates, thereby encouraging them to apply to the company.
Production process
For the company’s official website, we designed it to highlight the business’s more than 100-year history in Japan, while clearly conveying the future growth potential of this business sector.
In addition, the website uses many images of people in the production environment as a central focus, helping candidates easily visualize their future work environment, thereby creating a sense of trust and closeness to the company.
PR filming
Additionally, we conducted a photoshoot at our Hanoi office and factory, focusing on the employees working at SMMV.
Directly experiencing the production environment and talking with the staff allowed us to capture their authentic and captivating personalities, thereby effectively optimizing the website’s content structure.

The difference
In terms of design, the official corporate website is built in a style that reflects the stature of a company with the number one market share in Japan. Meanwhile, the recruitment website is optimized to be user-friendly and intuitive, suitable for Vietnamese workers.
In terms of content, the recruitment page conveys the company’s strengths through outstanding figures, combined with a system of lively icons to introduce benefits, helping users easily perceive the company’s value visually.
In addition, we also designed a separate header for the recruitment page to optimize the user experience.
Achievements
We have received much positive feedback from within SMMV as well as from relevant partners, with many praising the new design interface.
In Vietnam, applying through online recruitment platforms has become common. However, when considering a company for long-term employment, candidates often research and access the company’s official website. We expect this website to become a source of motivation and trust, helping candidates feel more confident when deciding to apply.
