At the beginning of 2021, ALIVE worked with Rohto on a campaign concept and design direction for their idea food focus on people health.

Context

The founder dreamed of only one thing: to infuse a hint of Japanese culture into their newly adopted country, Vietnam. This dream, combined with a macrobiotic creator, their love of good food inspired them to open the YAKUZEN restaurant – offering a healthy menu based on the healthy ingredient.

Heartened by their insatiable enthusiasm, ALIVE joined the table to create the brand identity and website design for a restaurant where you think, enjoy and eat fresh meals.

Challenge

With one of the highest rates of population in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City is known for the diversity and creativity of its restaurants. We had to design a unique, credible and inviting experience for YAKUZE in an extremely dynamic competitive landscape.

“The challenge was to create a brand that was unique while also drawing inspiration from its Japanese origins and principles of macrobiotics and artistic codes that go along with it. By reinterpreting some key aspects, such as the combination of five circles inspired by the five elements (gold, wood, water, fire, soil), stylizing “Y” and “Z” (“YAKUZEN”) in a circle – represents a brand name or field. We created a graphic language that is undeniably sustainable development, along with the support of nature, will make people energetic and energetic. in appearance but brimming with modernity.”

The result

A delectable brand experience that not only combines the principles of macrobiotics with food creativity but, most importantly, respects the origins and vision of YAKUZEN’s founders (as well as a healthy dose of love for health people).

Website Design & Development

The next stage of customer experience design extending the efficiency of the product presentation and amplifying brand communication online was designing a website. At the initial stage, the team worked on developing a structure that would be effective and straightforward for the diverse target audience of the product.

At the UI design stage, the bright branded colors were used not only for illustrations and other graphics but also as background colors for different website sections, supporting usability, scannability, and readability of web pages.
